His original contemporary modern pottery has been shown at the Art Expo in New York and Los Angeles.
Bruce’s pottery is all made from either porcelain or white stoneware clay and thrown by hand on a potter’s wheel. Mr. Fairman is one of the world’s most accomplished and recognized Ceramic Artisans, Potter, Designer & Alchemists. His handmade pottery will vary in size and color glaze as each is individually created and designed by Mr. Fairman. Bruce Fairman is truly a master potter and designer. He is the owner of Bruce Fairman’s Studio in Sacramento, California, and has developed a network of art galleries across the Country. In addition to being a successful businessman and talented entrepreneur, he’s also a philanthropist and works with the Khmer Artisan Project in Cambodia helping and teaching aspiring new potters so that they can earn a living as a potter. Mr. Fairman graduated from Sacramento State University in Studio Art and trained as a production potter for ten years. He later became one of the chief designers for Doris Designs and has studied classic vessel forms since the beginning.
He has developed his own unique stunning signature colors and hues through years of trial and error using platinum, titanium, and gold. The additional minerals are what give his ceramic and pottery pieces their beautiful appearance. This method of glazing has been perfected by only a handful of artists and is difficult to master. Each hand-crafted pottery shape by Bruce Fairman is designed to capture the simplicity and elegance of each pottery or ceramic piece while still drawing attention to his unique signature glazing technique. Because this is a unique one of a kind pottery art piece, the size and glazing pattern may vary slightly.
